Thanks for popping by my blog!! I am a photographer who is crazy about all things photography. I especially love taking pics of gorgeous preggie tummies, newborn and infants, and children. Here on my blog you'll find sneak peaks of my client's shoots, as well as personal photos of my gorgeous three boys and my sweet little girl... who lived 491 miraculous, wonderful days, a testament that Trisomy 18 is not "incompatable with life". I love my children. I love my husband. I love God. And I am ridiculously obsessed with my camera! Keep popping by!!

{Tummy Time} - Newborn, Maternity & child photographer, Ballito, Durban

Tummies, tummies... tra la la!

Definately every pregnant woman is beautiful. And seeing the dynamic of older brother already loving his sibling... just priceless! This little chap was too sweet for words. He says his sibling is certainly a girl... the rest of us, it seems, just have to wait to find out! I think it's a girl... and guess what? 50% of the time I am right!! Oh the excitement!

{Beautiful Bellies} - Newborn, Maternity & Child photographer Durban Ballito

Every belly, like every baby, is different. Some are round, some are small, some are large, some are low, some are high... but each just so gorgeous! And the best part is getting to meet the sweet little babies- which also are all so different.

Such a wonderful time in life. Over so quickly.

Beautiful {S} and her beautiful family. Can't meet to meet this little baby... and even more exciting is finding out what it's going to be... I love surprises!!

Don't you just love the sky?

The little man didn't seem too impressed.. all this waiting waiting (buddy, mum knows... she's been waiting for nearly 9 months!) :-)

{Belly Bebe} - Maternity, Newborn, Children portraiture, Ballito, Durban

I really love taking pictures of pregnant women. There's something magical about a pregnant belly. It's a promise of new life. Of hope. Of joy. Bringing a child into the world offers no greater privilege. And pregnant women really do glow... it's a happy time in a couple's life, and is very seldom captured to be remembered...

Once you've had all your children, you miss that beautiful belly. The little kicks, the hiccups. And all the scars of a pregnancy passed, like the stretch marks and the extra pound or two, are a reminder of the honour you had of bringing new life into the world. It should be treasured... but too often, in our rememberance of "being fat", we forget to savour the honour we've been given.

Beautiful C of course did not have an ounce of fat on her... and would probably put most "not pregnant people" to shame :) They are looking forward to welcoming their daughter into the world... as am I... I get the privilege of taking her first formal photographs! Can't wait! Particularly as she carries good genes... she's going to be pretty :)

35 weeks pregnant... and looking lovely....

Meet little {J} - Newborn Photographer Durban Ballito

Meet sweet little {J} - 7 days new

I just love the way mums are so enthusiastic with newborn shoots. I really get to meet the most special people, and of course their even more special little people.

This little boy was super chilled. He had the most beautiful skin, and was a really "pretty" baby (Dad, don't worry, that's a COMPLIMENT for a baby... I have no doubt he'll be a strapping man when he grows up :)). I love the super mooshie skin newborns have... gorgeous.

So here he is, at 7 days new, with his wonderful parents... so much love in this family! I love it!

{Dainty P} - Newborn Child and Maternity Photography Ballito Durban

Little {P} 2 weeks old... she did not love my man handling... she's clearly a little lady :) She also wasn't keen on being unswaddled... can't say I blame her... pretty chilly.... And all the heaters in the world weren't enough for her.

But we got some gorgeous shots... she really was as good as gold.

Special people. Special little girl. Not too much else to say.

{June Special} - Newborn and maternity photoshoots - Newborn, infant, child & maternity photographer

Decided that I was feeling generous :) and wanted to give something special to all those new (and second, third, fourth etc) mums out there expecting the arrivals of their precious beautiful little bundles. Call it a late mothers day gift, or an early fathers days gift... or maybe it's just sharing some of the euphoric-baby-post-pregnancy-hormones feel-the-love-kind-of-thing... whatever the reason, here it is:

Whoop Whoop! Such a great combination. Most mothers often do one or the other... but each shoot is so special, because it is a reminder of different stages in your life, and your babies life. My oldest son, who is nearly 8 (*Sniff*), just loves to look back at photos of when he was in mummy's tummy, and when he was a tiny baby. So special!

Hope you're feeling the LUUURVE
